singing birds, of the genus Vireo, as the solitary, or
blue-headed (Vireo solitarius); the brotherly-love (V.
Philadelphicus); the warbling greenlet (V. gilvus); the
yellow-throated greenlet (V. flavifrons) and others. See

American birds allied to the tits.
