Winslow calls thus some fleshy fasciculi, which are situate on the lateral surfaces of the spinous processes; from the third dorsal Vertebra to the first or second lumbar: and which form part of the transverso-spinalis of most authors. The same anatomist calls-Spina'lis Dorsi minor, Petit epineux du dos-some small, fleshy fibres, situate on each side of the interspinal ligament. They are short, flat, and pass from one spinous process to the other. Like the preceding, they form part of the transverso-spinalis. All these fleshy fasciculi strengthen the vertebral column.
