Oyri seu Ductus spira'les seu Cana'les cochleae, (F.) Rampes ou Echelles du Limacon-are the cavities in the cochlea, separated, from each other by the spiral septum. The one-Scala inter'na seu poste'rior seu inferior coch'leae, S. tym'pani- would communicate with the cavitas tympani by the fenestra rotunda, were it not for the membrane that closes it. The other- Scala exter’na seu ante'rior scu superior coch'leae, S. vestib'uli-opens into the cavity of the vestibule. The sealae communicate with each other by an opening at the top of the partition.
