Of or pertaining to a natural order of apetalous plants
(Polygonace[ae]), of which the knotweeds (species of
Polygonum) are the type, and which includes also the docks
(Rumex), the buckwheat, rhubarb, sea grape (Coccoloba),
and several other genera.
