Ord. Cruciferae. Sex. Syst. Tetradynamia Siliquosa. The root of this plant is a common esculent. It has, also, been given as a diuretic in calculous affections. The juice, made into a syrup, is exhibited to relieve hoarseness. Radishes have long been celebrated as anti-scorbutics.
