An extensor muscle of the wrist, situate beneath the extensor carpi radialis longior. It is attached, above, to the external tuberosity of the humerus, and terminates below, by a long tendon, inserted into the posterior part of the upper extremity of the third bone of the metacarpus. It has the same uses as the next muscle.
