The village of Great Malvern, (pronounced Mawvern,) in Worcestershire, England, has for many years been celebrated for a spring of remarkable purity, which has acquired the name of the Holy well. It is a carbonated water; containing carbonates of soda and iron, sulphate of soda, and chloride of sodium; and is chiefly used externally, in cutaneous affections.
