A Norwegian poet; born in Bergen, May 5, 1841. He is a clergyman and educator, and settled in this country in 1881. "Norse Poems", a collection of lyrics, and "Praerien's Saga", are his most popular works, but he has produced many stories of merit. He writes in both Norse and English. He returned to Norway in 1892.
