An English poet and dramatist; born at Poole, Dorsetshire, Jan. 30, 1837; died at Kew, Sept. 5, 1894. She was daughter of Vice-Admiral George Davies. She wrote: "Blanche Lisle and other Poems, by Cecil Home" (1860); "A Woman Sold", etc. (1867); "In a Day" (1882); dramas and translations of Greek tragedies, etc.
