(1789-1858), son of John Jay, was a Judge of the Westchester County Court, N. Y., from 1818 to 1843. He devoted his efforts to the abolition of slavery and war. He published a " Life of John Jay," a " View of the Action of the Federal Government in Behalf of Slavery," " War and Peace " and " Causes and Consequences of the Mexican War."
