-
A French journalist and topical writer; born in Marseilles, Sept. 1, 1838; died at Neuilly, Dec. 25, 1901. He long enriched the columns of Gil Blas, Figaro, and L'Echo de Paris, both over his own name and such pseudonyms as "Nestor", "Columbine" and "Columba". "Artistic Studies" (1859), "In the Last Century" (1884), and "Parisian Goodness" (1885), are happy dashes at men and women and things.
