A term, applied to that which is placed between the peduncles of the encephalon, - as Interpeduncular space; a lozenge-shaped interval, behind the diverging peduncles or crura of the cerebrum, in which are found the posterior perforated space, corpora albicantia, tuber cinereum, or infundibulum, and pituitary body.
