Canadian Hydrastis, Yellow Root, Orange Root, Yellow Puccoon, Ground Raspberry, Yellow Paint, Golden Seal, Indian Paint, Eyebalm Nat. Ord. Ranunculaceae. It is used in Kentucky as a 'mouth water,' and as an outward application in wounds and local inflammations.
