Ammonio-chloride of mercury, White precipitate of mercury. Dissolve the chloride in the water, with the aid of heat, and to the solution, when cold, add the solution of ammonia, frequently stirring. Wash the precipitate till it is tasteless, and dry it. - Ph. U.S. A peroxide, combined with muriatic acid and ammonia, forming a triple salt. It is used in powder, to destroy vermin; and, united with lard, for the same purpose, as well as in scabies and some other cutaneous affections.
