[Latin] A superficial muscle on medial side of the thigh; a fasciculus of medulla oblongata; nucleus of grey matter ventral to clava.

This muscle is situate at the inside of the thigh. It is thin and very long; and arises from the descending ramus of the pubis, to be inserted at the inner and inferior part of the tuberosity of the tibia. It bends the leg and causes adduction of the thigh. See Grele.
