A French theologian and writer; born in the Chateau Fenelon in Perigord, Dordogne, Aug. 6, 1651; died Jan. 7, 1715. He is especially famous for his story "Telemachus". His other writings include: "Treatise on the Education of Young Girls"; "Fables"; "Dialogues of the Dead"; "Life of Charlemagne"; "Exposition of the Maxims of the Saints Regarding the Inner Life"; and many others.
