A Spanish dramatist; born at Vich, Catalonia, 1816; died at Havana, 1870. His masterpiece is "The Flower of a Day", written in euphonious and well-scanned metre, and a drama of no ordinary merit; a sequel to it, entitled "Thorns of a Flower", being published afterwards.
