An Italian poet and dramatist; born at Filottrano, Ancone, March 1, 1825. He has won most applause for "Lyric Tragedies" (1858), in which his poetical capacities are most happily exploited; "Stella" (1866), a drama in verse; and "The Sons of Alexander VI"., a powerful metrical play.
