An American organist, composer, and author; born in Hartford, Conn., March 10, 1839. He is organist of the Church of the Holy Trinity, Brooklyn, N. Y. Aside from several cantatas, he has written two books: "A Dictionary of Musical Terms" and a work on the "Influence of the Organ in History" (1882).
