(Ligamentum,) diminutive of dens, dentis, 'a tooth.' Ligamentum dentatum, Membrana dentata, (F.) Ligament dentele ou denticule. A slender cord, situate between the anterior and posterior fasciculi of the spinal nerves, and between the tunica arachnoidea and pia mater. It is attached to the dura mater, where that membrane issues from the cranium, and accompanies the spinal marrow to its inferior extremity. It sends off, from its outer edge, about twenty slender processes, in the form of denticuli, each of which passes outwards and connects itself with the dura mater in the intervals between the anterior and posterior roots of the nerves.
