An American journalist and author; born in Massachusetts in 1827. He was the editor of the Boston Commercial Bulletin, which he founded in 1859, and was the author of several popular books of travel. Among his works are: "Over the Ocean" (1871); "Abroad Again" (1877); "Britons and Muscovites" (1888); "A Chat about Celebrities".
