A famous American clergyman, son of Increase; born in Boston, Feb.12, 1663; died there, Feb. 13, 1728. A prolific writer of books, his "Magnalia" is probably better known than any other of the nearly four hundred volumes that he published. "Memorable Providences relating to Witchcraft and Possessions" appeared in 1685.
