The greater part of authors have employed the term synonymously with Varicocele. Pott gives it a different signification. Varicocele, he calls the tumour formed by the veins of the scrotum; Circocele, Funic'ulus varico'sus, the varicose dilatation of the spermatic veins. The scrotum feels as if it contained earthworms. It is commonly an affection of no consequence, demanding merely the use of a suspensory bandage.
