Some use the term synonymously with cephalalgia; others, for a periodical headach; others, again, for a more violent headach than cephalalgia implies; and others for a chronic headach. The last was its ancient signification. Cephalae'a spasmod'ica, Cephalal'gia spasmod'ica, C. Nauseo'sa, Sick-headach, is characterized by partial, spasmodic pain; often shifting from one part of the head to another: chiefly commencing in the morning, with sickness and faintness. It is extremely apt to recur, notwithstanding every care.
