Caldas is a small town, ten leagues from Lisbon, where are mineral springs, containing carbonic and hydrosulphuric acid gases, carbonates and muriates of lime and magnesia, sulphates of soda and lime, sulphuret of iron, silica, and alumina. They are much used in atonic gout. They are thermal. Temperature 93 Fahrenheit.
