-
A fatal failure in the execution of a machinelanguage instruction resulting from the processor detectingan anomalous condition on its bus. Such conditions includeinvalid address alignment (accessing a multi-byte number at anodd address), accessing a physical address that does notcorrespond to any device, or some other device-specifichardware error. A bus error triggers a processor-levelexception which Unix translates into a "SIGBUS" signalwhich, if not caught, will terminate the current process.

Procollagen Proline Dioxygenase
- mixed-function oxygenase that catalyzes hydroxylation prolyl-glycyl-containing-peptide, usually in protocollagen, hydroxyprolylglycyl-peptide. The enzyme utilizes molecular oxygen with a concomitant oxidative decarboxylation of 2-oxoglutarate to succinate. EC 1.14.11.2.
