The mud or swamp, formed near mineral springs, impregnated with the substances contained in such springs, and consequently possessing similar properties. The Boues are applied generally and topically, in France, at the springs of St. Amand, Bagneres de Luchon, Bagnols, and Bareges; in the United States, at the White Sulphur in Virginia, &c.
