Bartlett \Bart"lett\, n. (Bot.)
A Bartlett pear, a favorite kind of pear, which originated in
England about 1770, and was called Williams' Bonchr['e]tien.
It was brought to America, and distributed by Mr. Enoch
Bartlett, of Dorchester, Massachusetts.
