[OE. atiren to array, dispose, arrange, OF. atirier; [`a] (L. ad) + F. tire rank, order, row; of Ger. origin: cf. As. tier row, OHG. ziar[=i], G. zier, ornament, zieren to adorn. Cf. Tire a headdress.]
